Ballerz Football Tour to the Holland Easter Open 2025

Holland Easter Open 2025
Holland Easter Open 2026
Over the Easter holidays, our young u7 and U8 academy footballers along with our friends from Flitwick Eagles Blues U8’s, set off on an unforgettable tour to the Netherlands to compete in the prestigious Easter Open Tournament. Hosted across multiple venues in the southern regions of Holland, this international youth tournament welcomes teams from all over Europe, offering children the chance to experience competitive football in a vibrant, multicultural setting.
The teams were all based at the local Centre Parcs for 3 nights, in a family-friendly atmosphere with excellent
facilities staying in comfortable woodland bungalows which provided a safe and relaxing base for players, coaches, and accompanying parents. In between the matches, the players enjoyed a range of activities including swimming in the subtropical pool and bowling.
The Easter Open Tournament itself is professionally run, with matches played on high-quality pitches and
officiated by certified referees. Teams compete in group stages on day 1 before progressing to knockout rounds on day 2, offering every player valuable match experience. The tournament promotes fair play, sportsmanship, and international friendship, and was a great opportunity for children to test their skills
against diverse playing styles.
The Easter Open is the largest international football tournament in Holland attracting boys and girls’ teams from all over the World. The tournament included Development Centre football squads, private academies and grassroots football teams. For all the players, it was their first taste of international football—and an inspiring experience they’ll never forget.
Our Ballerz U7’s won their age group and our U8’s won their play-off final to finish 3rd out of 16 teams only losing to the eventual tournament winners. Flitwick Eagles Blues U8’s also did fantastically well over the two days remaining undefeated until their very last match.
A wonderful experience combining sport, travel, and personal development, fostering teamwork, confidence, and lifelong memories for all the boys and parents.

Testimonials
''Centre Parcs was an ideal venue. The accommodation was clean and the leisure facilities on site were perfect for entertaining the kids in between matchdays. I’m not football mad like a lot of the parents but thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip.''
Samantha Riley,
Parent
''What a special occasion this was, not only was it our first overseas tour as Bedfordshire Ballerz but it was the first time for all the players to play in an overseas tournament, creating lasting memories. The tournament facilities were good quality, Centre Parcs was outstanding, which made the whole experience a joy. We are looking forward to our 2026 preparation already.'
James Hatch,
Beds Ballerz Head Coach
''It was the most memorable experience for everyone involved. The football was incredible with a high standard of football on show but allowed the boys to battle away and the joy the results brought to their faces was great to see. It was a great team bonding event as well for all involved and staying at Centre Parcs meant everyone had opportunities to access the activities away from the football.
James and the team organised it incredibly and helped it to run so smoothly.

Flitwick Eagles Coach
